Popular tech YouTuber Zack Nelson is always up for a challenge; this time, he is testing the OnePlus 11. His YouTube channel, “JerryRigEverything,” has a lot to offer. Most of us look for durability tests before buying a smartphone. OnePlus flagship smartphones do not live up to the expectations of their fans. This time, the OnePlus 11 is on the radar.
It is worth mentioning that OnePlus 10 Pro and 10T models were on the market last year. Similarly, Zack got his hands on these smartphones last year for a durability test. Sadly, the results did not live up to expectations. The durability test video is available on his channel; you can watch it there. The 10 series has a structural problem due to the new camera design. In short, this camera design costs the Chinese smartphone manufacturer a lot.
OnePlus 11 Survives JerryRigEverything test:
OnePlus seems to have learned a lesson from its past experiences with the OnePlus 10 series. Therefore, the latest 11 series has the better structural integrity to make sure that fans are not disappointed. The latest durability test vi shows that the OnePlus 11 barely survives the test.
Gizchina News of the week
Jerry tests the smartphone with the usual burn, scratch, and bend tests. The device performs fairly well in all tests except for the bend test. The smartphone was flexible at a certain point where the back panel started to crack. Yet, the durability test is shocking as the previous version could not sustain the durability tests for much longer.
There were some important things to note in the OnePlus 11 durability test. First, scratches on the front panel don’t affect the touch functionality. But, they did slightly affect the fingerprint reader beneath the screen. Secondly, the back of the phone shows a lot of cracks and scratches.
With all this, the OnePlus 11 survives the toughest durability tests but cannot live up to our expectations. At least there is some good news for the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, as it sees a way to make durable smartphones in the future.
