According to an analysis by market research firm TrendForce, all four iPhone 14 models that will be launched this fall will be equipped with 6GB of RAM. TrendForce also claims that the iPhone 14 Pro series models will upgrade to a faster, more power-efficient memory type, LPDDR5. However, the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max models will stick with the LPDDR4X.
If this analysis proves to be accurate, the iPhone’s memory lineup in the past two years will be iPhone 13 mini: 4GB (LPDDR4X), iPhone 13: 4GB (LPDDR4X), iPhone 13 Pro: 6GB (LPDDR4X), iPhone 13 Pro Max: 6GB (LPDDR4X), iPhone 14: 6GB (LPDDR4X), iPhone 14 Max: 6GB (LPDDR4X), iPhone 14 Pro: 6GB (LPDDR5), and iPhone 14 Pro Max: 6GB (LPDDR5).
The report is almost consistent with the information shared by Tianfeng Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo. He claims that all four iPhone 14 models will come with 6GB of RAM, and the iPhone 14 Pro models will upgrade to LPDDR5. TrendForce also claims that the iPhone 14 Pro series models will start with 256GB of storage. This is twice the size of the iPhone 13 Pro model which starts at 128GB.
According to speculations, two major features will appear on the Apple iPhone 14 Pro series. These features are the 48MP camera as well as the A16 Bionic chip. The standard iPhone 14 models will continue to use the A15 Bionic chip.
iPhone 14 Max makes a debut
Furthermore, Apple plans to launch 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models. It will also have the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max models. All four of the new phones will be official at Apple’s September new product event, barring major supply chain disruptions.
I have to say that Cook’s knife skills are numbingly accurate. From the iPhone 13 Pro Max with 6GB, LPDDR4X RAM to the iPhone 14 Pro Max with 6GB, LPDDR5 RAM, the reading speed will obviously improve.
This small detail change keeps the memory parameters of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max at the same level as last year’s top flagships. However, this year’s new flagships, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max improves a bit.
Although there is no definite news yet, this year’s iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max may change in price. After the cancelation of the mini model, the price of the digital model (iPhone 14) should not change. The pricing of the iPhone 14 Max is between the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max need to increase the price. This will also open the price difference between the basic two models.
